Situated in the heart of the French Riviera, Mougins is a 30 minute drive from Nice and 10 minutes from Cannes.
The heart of Mougins has many amazing restaurants and art galleries and is a car free zone where you can stroll and discover the quaint streets and boutiques.
Many artists and chefs have made Mougins their home or have started their career there. One of our more famous residents was Pablo Picasso who spent the last 15 years of his life in Mougins with his wife in Notre Dame de Vie. He entertained all his famous and infamous friends there.
Winston Churchill was a frequent visitor in Mougins, and Jaques Brel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Arman, Yves Klein Edith Piaf, Catherine Deneuve and many other artists spent parts of their life in our beautiful village inspired by its calm and beauty.
Mougins has a strong culinary history with such great chefs having managed restaurants in the village. One of the highlights of Mougins calendar is the International Festival of Gastronomy, which brings together a galaxy of starred chefs from around the globe
You can choose from a large tray of dining options and visit our resident artists in their galleries and see them at work.
The MACM is our classic art museum just at the entrance of the village and it features contemporary and ancient art from across the globe among which Europe's most important collection of ancient amour and helmets.
Opening July 2021 is the new center of Photography which will be on the church square and is definetly a place to visit.
